Public health doctoral student receives NIH grant

Lan Doan, a public health doctoral student, has recently been awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health.

Lan Doan, a public health doctoral student, has recently been awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health titled, “Disaggregating Asian American and Pacific Islander Health Data: Multilevel Analysis of Neighborhood Context and Cardiovascular Health using the Medicare Health Outcomes Survey.”

While at Oregon State, Lan has received the Provost’s Distinguished Graduate Scholarship and has received either a GRA or GTA every year from the College of Public Health and Human Sciences, as well as several scholarships and fellowships from the college and Graduate School. These include:

  • Provost’s Distinguished Graduate Scholarship, 2015-2016
  • Schad, Warren & Frederica Fellowship, 2016-2017
  • Lenore Bayley Graduate Fellowship, 2017-2018
  • Schild-Nicholson Fellowship, 2018-2019
  • President’s Commission on the Status of Women Scholarship, 2018
