Doctoral student receives grant to support research related to Rohingya refugees

Rebecca Amantia, a doctoral student in health promotion and health behavior, received a grant from the OSU President’s Commission on the Status of Women. The grant will support costs for her to conduct implementation science research on current emergency response efforts that focus on maternal and child healthcare for Rohingya refugees. This research is based on collaboration with a Dhaka Community Hospital (DCH) Trust and she will specifically work with clinics situated in Bangladesh-based refugee camps with the goal of identifying barriers and facilitators in the implementation and sustainability of their clinic maternal and child health practices.
