Kinesiology doctoral student published in the journal Physiological Reports

Harrison Stierwalt recently had his first, first-author manuscript accepted for publication. The work is titled “Insulin-stimulated Rac1-GTP binding is not impaired by palmitate treatment in L6 myotubes” and provides new insight into regulation of glucose uptake by insulin in skeletal muscle. The article will soon be available in the journal Physiological Reports. Harrison is a third-year doctoral student in the kinesiology program and the current recipient of the Maksud Fellowship in Exercise Physiology.
