“I have never felt more accepted and happy in my life then how I feel here on this adventure. I have met some wonderful people who have made me feel incredibly loved and fulfilled,” Erin says.

“Drag is more than just getting on stage in high heels and a gorgeous dress with makeup on my face,” says CPHHS senior Luke Kawasaki. “I use drag to tell the world that gender queer and trans bodies are not something to be feared or ignored.”

Human Development and Family Sciences (HDFS) is the study of individual development across the entire lifespan, and the HDFS major at Oregon State University’s College of Public Health and Human Sciences is in high demand among those who want to help others improve their lives.
After completing his course work online, Tomas received his bachelor’s degree in human development and family sciences in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences. And within a few months of graduating, he paired his years of work experience with his new Oregon State diploma and landed an even better job at Portland Public Schools.
