Marvin’s time at Oregon State shaped the rest of his life, and he couldn’t be happier to be a Beaver. “I owe everything to OSU because it made me the successful man I am. I’m not going to take credit and say I did it by myself. OSU took me from a boy and made me into a man,” he says.

A Southern Oregon native, Chad thought he might attend the College of Business when he arrived at Oregon State, but says he wasn’t interested in widgets, rather something more topical. So he studied health care administration in the CPHHS and during that time met his wife, Megan Bioletto-Melvin, MPH ’05. After graduation, they both moved to Los Angeles, where Megan went to work at Kaiser Permanente and Chad worked on his MPH at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health, studying health policy and management.
Laura has enormous compassion for people who are injured while working, and knows that prevention will come through rigorous and practical science.
“If I do my job correctly, I can help facilitate not only dissemination research, but I could tap into something that would help us universally improve health care delivery and quality,” says CPHHS alum Chase Cameron, MPH ’13.
“I strive to become an influential force in helping to make decisions that promote the advancement of women from all identities,” says CPHHS MPH Alumna Elba Moise.
