“Coordinated efforts among public health and health care have the potential to positively impact health outcomes for our communities in a way we haven’t seen before,” says CPHHS MPH student Sara Hartstein, who was just honored by the Oregon Health Authority for her efforts in tobacco control.
MPH student Aslan Noakes is on a mission to raise money to support a public health program she’s working on in Haiti by selling handcrafted goods from Haitian locals.
“I’m part of an agency that strives to improve human health through preserving the Earth’s land, air and water from contamination. This is achieved by researching environmental impacts to establish regulations that protect present and future generations,” Grady says.
A visionary, an activist, a role model, a giver and a Beaver believer, Barbara Peck ’32 will be remembered as a true supporter of those who loved her, including CPHHS faculty, staff, students and alumni.
