Jessica Klopfenstein graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in winter 2016. Since completing her degree, she’s been working on campus as a TOUR Ambassador. Following commencement, Jessica will start physical therapy school in southern California.
The path to professional success is rarely straight – and sometimes you need a new path altogether. Anna Gianpetro did, and decided to step away from her profession as a data analyst to pursue her true passion and lifelong hobby – nutrition.
Hannah Tacke will receive her bachelor’s degree in Public Health on June 17. She will continue her studies at OSU and purse her master’s degree in Health Management and Policy beginning in the fall. This summer, Hannah will intern and gain hands-on experience in public health policy by interning at the Oregon State Capitol in Rep. Dan Rayfield’s office.

Did you know that all OSU students can catch the stoke of surfing while earning a Physical Activity Course (PAC) Program credit? Instructor Dan Hasselschwert takes PAC 247 guides students through the course. Participants learn about the history, terminology, safety precautions, and equipment of a sport that began with the ancient Polynesians and loved by countless. The class culminates with a 2-day field trip to the Oregon Coast, where students put the knowledge they’ve learned into practice as they paddle out to the lineup for an unforgettable session.
Maysa Shakibnia-Shirazi will receive her bachelor’s degree in Public Health on June 17. She is an honors student, studied abroad in Spain, did research in Iran in summer 2016, earned several scholarships during her time at OSU and has been accepted into Oregon Health & Science University’s (OHSU) nursing program.
Believe it or not, Keet somehow is able to sleep at night. He manages his busy schedule with a delicate balance of keeping a meticulous calendar and asking for help from his advisors.
