Tillamook County wellness initiative recognized for addressing chronic disease risk

Jessica Dusti Linnell, assistant professor of practice, OSU Extension Service for Tillamook and Lincoln counties, shared that the Tillamook County Wellness initiative, which she has been a part, has been awarded the 2018 Oregon Place Matters Conference Organizational Leadership Award by the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division. “This award is given to recognize organizations or coalitions that have implemented innovative, collaborative, multi-sector solutions to address chronic disease risk factors. This nominee should have demonstrated commitment by addressing barriers and implementing policy, system and environmental strategies to reduce chronic disease disparities.”
