HDFS PhD student Jessica Dahlgren’s policy recommendation was chosen to be reviewed at Social Work Day on the Hill in Washington, D.C., on March 20. Her recommendation is to create policies that increase funding for organizations that support children of incarcerated parents to stop the cycle of intergenerational incarceration. Jessica will be attending the CRISP Social Work Day on the Hill Congressional Reception on March 20 to network with social workers and members of Congress who have interest in the social work field.
