Student selected to the Pac-12 NCAA student-athlete autonomy structure committee

Kinesiology student Kayla Ellis, a senior for Oregon State women’s volleyball, has been selected as one of three representatives to the Pac-12 NCAA student-athlete autonomy structure committee. According to the Pac-12, these representatives will join 12 other student-athletes and representatives from each of the 65-member schools of the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC in discussing and voting on a series of proposals designed to improve the student-athlete experience. This year, the Pac-12 sponsored a proposal that ensures mental health services for student-athletes and mandates athletic departments distribute mental health educational materials and resources to student-athletes.
