Margaret Jo (Meg) Henning, PhD ’10, is an associate professor of public health at Keene State College in New Hampshire. She was selected by the college for this year’s Faculty Distinction in Research and Scholarship Award. Meg’s graduate mentor was CPHHS Professor Chunhuei Chi.

On May 3, the College of Public Health and Human Sciences gathered to celebrate and honor individuals who live out the college’s mission. To welcome attendees to the third annual Ovation event, CPHHS Dean Javier Nieto thanked alumni, preceptors, supporters, faculty and staff for creating an environment that drives student success.
Rebecca Chàvez graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion and Health Behavior in Spring 2011. For the past three years, she’s worked for Polk County Public Health in Dallas, Oregon, and started in her current role of outreach specialist in 2017.
Kyle Haley graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion and Health Behavior in Spring 2017. Since that time, he’s been interning with the Community Epidemiology Services (CES)team at the Multnomah County Health Department. We caught up with Kyle to learn more about his time at Oregon State and in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.
