This baccalaureate core course is designed to encourage personal awareness and responsibility for the maintenance of health and physical well-being. Through lectures and lab experiences, students will expand their knowledge of health and wellness.
The best advice I have for others trying to find an internship is to not be afraid to ask for help or fail. I wouldn’t be anywhere today if I didn’t reach out to others for help.
Getting to know: Karen Elliott
Public Health Instructor and Undergraduate Public Health Internship Coordinator Karen Elliott is a true Beaver believer – she’s not only worked in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences for a decade, but she’s also a CPHHS alum – receiving her doctoral degree in 2006.
Alyssa Hersh was recently named the college’s first Undergraduate Researcher of the Year – a new award to reward and encourage extracurricular scholarly contributions made by OSU undergraduates.
For the first time as a new College of Public Health and Human Sciences, the college formally recognized preceptors and site supervisors on June 11 and thanked them for providing internships and learning opportunities for students.
