Tony Lapiz didn’t know much about the public health profession, but he knew he wanted to improve community health through policy. Through an Oregon State alumna he met during an undergraduate internship, he learned that a degree in public health could help him achieve that goal.
A master’s degree student, Hayley Strenke has been busy shaping her future. The Oregon native studies Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH), which she became interested in while an undergraduate student in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.
Jafra Thomas will receive his master’s degree in Public Health on June 17 and is currently a doctoral degree candidate pursuing his PhD in Kinesiology. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Sciences and his first master’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif.
