Mental health resources offer 4-H youth a brighter future

Promoting good mental health starts by recognizing early warning signs and understanding coping behaviors. And in Oregon, 4-H leaders – active in every county – are important points of contact for children, particularly in rural areas where mental health resources may be scarce. So much more than summer camp

Mario, a CPHHS associate professor, created the summer camps – one for migrant middle schoolers and another for multicultural campers – as a place for a diverse group of Oregon middle school students to converge and gain insight into their personal and career aspirations.
