“Oregon State has given me a chance to leave the past behind and look toward the future,” says Dawn Phillips, who is graduating in June. “I have so much security in knowing that I have an education and a career I love.”

Oregon State University’s College of Public Health and Human Sciences has been granted accreditation, making it the first school of public health in Oregon to earn that recognition.
“I’m very interested in what we eat and how food has an impact in terms of healthy lifestyles and letting us live better,” says CPHHS Moore Family Center Director Emily Ho.
“The goal is for active teens to adopt healthy lifestyles to prevent unhealthy weight gain, especially as they transition into adulthood,” Siew Sun says.
As part of a $5 million gift to the CPHHS from Bob and Charlee Moore of Bob’s Red Mill to further nutrition education, research and outreach, CPHHS’ Extension Family and Community Health specialist Renee Carr has been named the Moore Family Center endowed outreach coordinator.
