Zainab Alidina, a first-year doctoral student in Health Promotion and Health Behavior, has been awarded the P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship for 2018-19. The International Peace Scholarship Fund, established in 1949, provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada. There is only one recipient each year from the United States and Canada. The award recognizes Zainab’s past contributions and potential for future contributions to science. Zainab is currently working on dissemination and implementation science research projects in the United States and Tanzania with professors Joe Catania and Peggy Dolcini.
